Danielle Power

Dr Danielle Power is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer with extensive experience in the treatment of gastrointestinal and thoracic malignancies. Her clinical practice focuses on cancers of the upper gastrointestinal tract alongside lung cancers, including small cell, non-small cell, and other lung cancer subtypes.

She completed her oncology training across several leading London centres, including the Royal Marsden Hospital, Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, University College Hospital, and Hammersmith Hospital. Dr Power holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists and was later appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer, developing specialist expertise in oesophagogastric cancer, lung malignancies, and thyroid cancer.

Dr Power is trained in a wide range of systemic and radiation-based treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biological therapies, and advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic radiotherapy and radionuclide treatments. Alongside her clinical work, she remains actively involved in medical education and contributes to research as an investigator and co-investigator on multiple clinical trials.

In recognition of her leadership within oncology services, Dr Power was appointed Clinical Director for Oncology and Palliative Care Services in 2017. Her practice also incorporates palliative care, ensuring comprehensive support for patients throughout their treatment journey.

Her areas of expertise include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, biological therapy, palliative care, and the management of oesophageal, thyroid, and lung cancers.
