Tom graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2010. Since then, he has split his time between specialising in treating musculoskeletal presentations in clinic with working in elite sporting environments. Tom has worked as a specialist physiotherapist in the following sports; football, rugby and badminton. After 5 years working in the NHS (specialising in MSK outpatient work for the final three of five years), he then moved into full-time private practice work. Tom has worked here at HCA Primary Care for the past 6 years and says he loves treating people of all backgrounds and abilities, finding the right blend of hands-on treatment, advice and exercise to ensure each individual reaches their full potential.

Tom has gained a post-graduate qualification in acupuncture with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFA). Tom understands how our physical health is inextricably linked to our mental health and overall wellbeing. He is a keen advocate of working collaboratively with other colleagues to provide the most comprehensive and holistic management of each presentation. Having previously played both rugby and cricket to a high standard and now keeping fit by cycling, running and hitting the gym – Tom uses his advanced knowledge of exercise and conditioning to provide his clients with the most expert and comprehensive advice.
