Shazia Afridi

Dr Shazia Afridi PhD FRCP is a Consultant Neurologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London, where she has worked since 2013 and established the Headache Service within the Department of Neurology.

She has a specialist interest in the hormonal aspects of migraine, with research interests including migraine imaging and complex migraine aura. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London.

Dr Afridi completed her higher neurology training in London and obtained her PhD in Neurology at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, focusing on functional imaging in migraine. She has served on the council of the British Association for the Study of Headache and is a trustee of The Migraine Trust, as well as a member of the scientific committee for the Migraine Trust International Symposium.
