Ravinder Atkar

Dr Ravinder Atkar is a highly qualified Consultant Dermatologist who consults on all aspects of skin disease in adults and children, with her NHS practice based at Barts Health NHS Trust. She ranked in the top 5% for her medical degree and achieved First Class Honours for her BSc before completing her dermatology training at Cambridge University Hospitals. She subsequently undertook an observership in paediatric dermatology at Stanford University Hospitals in San Francisco.

Dr Atkar is actively involved in research, receiving three national awards, and has authored multiple publications in high-impact medical journals, as well as co-authoring the national guidelines for vitiligo. She has tutored medical students at Cambridge University and continues to pursue her passion for medical education, while also valuing her role as a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.

Clinically, she manages a wide range of skin conditions including eczema, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, mole checks and skin cancer, and also performs skin surgery and provides advice on skincare concerns.
