Vipin qualified from the University of Bristol in August 1998 and completed basic surgical training in London on the Hammersmith Hospital Basic Surgical Rotation. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002 and England in 2003 and became fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in trauma and orthopaedics in 2011. Vipin went on to complete a 12-month sports surgery and lower limb arthroplasty fellowship at SportsMed SA, in Adelaide, Australia, specialist hip arthroscopy and arthroplasty training in Royal Berkshire Hospital for 12 months, followed by a two-month specialist trauma fellowship training in Vienna.
He completed his specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics on the Imperial College North West Thames rotation in April 2014, training in Orthopaedics at Charing Cross Hospital, London; Hillingdon Hospital; Mount Vernon Hospital; Chelsea and Westminster Hospital; Whittington Hospital, Ealing Hospital, and St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington.
Vipin has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at North Middlesex University Hospital since November 2014. He organises a clinical audit and assumes the responsibility of leadership in numerous service improvement projects. He uses enhanced recovery techniques to carry out day case ACL reconstruction surgery. Vipin is involved in the design and overseeing of research projects. He has published 18 original scientific journal articles and completed a PhD in articular cartilage biology.
