Mr. Timothy Briggs is a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He obtained his medical degree from St Bartholomew's Medical School in 1984 and trained in urology in the UK and abroad. He spent a year at the Concorde in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Briggs has a special interest in uro-oncology and is an expert in robotic surgery. As a member of the Pelvic Cancer Team, he has been using the Da Vinci Robotic System since 2010 and routinely performs robotic radical prostatectomies for the treatment of prostate cancer, cystectomies for the treatment of bladder cancer, and cystoprostatectomies. Mr. Briggs has extensive experience with over 1000 robotic radical prostatectomies and over 200 laparoscopic radical prostatectomies. He continues to assess and treat patients with general urological problems including haematuria, urinary tract infections, male and female incontinence, scrotal/genital problems, and benign prostate disease. His expertise includes robotic surgery (prostatectomy, cystoprostatectomy, cystectomy), PSA assessment, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), UroLift, scrotal/genital surgery, vasectomy, circumcision, urinary incontinence treatment (male and female), urodynamics, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, benign prostate hyperplasia, and haematuria.
