Mr Simon Clarke is a Consultant Paediatric surgeon with over 15 years experience and currently the clinical lead for surgery for North Thames . He was previously the Clinical Director for Children's surgical services at the Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust & The Royal Brompton Hospital, in West London.
Mr Clarke completed his training in London at Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Georges and Chelsea & Westminster as well as holding an associate professorship in the academic unit in Hong Kong. Mr Clarke’s extensive training has led him to have over 45 published articles and 5 book chapters. Mr Clarke has an interest in training paediatric surgeons and has developed and runs courses both in the simulation of operations as well as minimal access surgical techniques.
Mr Simon Clarke has been a board member on the national training committee for the UK and Ireland and has been awarded 9 clinical Excellence awards during his 13 years as a consultant.
In 2017 he was elected President of the British Association of Paediatric Endoscopic Surgeons.
Mr Clarke has a busy practice in West London and specialises in minimally invasive surgery for procedures such as inguinal hernia but also gastro-oesophageal reflux and lower Gastrointestinal conditions.
