About

Mr Sachin Malde is a Consultant Urological Surgeon currently working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, alongside several private practices across London. He has extensive experience in the management of a broad range of urological conditions, including bladder disease, urinary symptoms, prostate enlargement, haematuria, chronic urinary tract infections, and both male and female urinary disorders. His practice also encompasses bladder cancer and neuro-urology.

He completed his undergraduate medical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical Schools in London, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, before undertaking a postgraduate MD(res) at University College London, where his research focused on post-prostatectomy incontinence. He subsequently completed Higher Specialty Training in Urology on the South Thames rotation and went on to undertake a fellowship at University College London.

Mr Malde currently serves on the guideline panel of the European Association of Urology for benign prostate enlargement, contributing to international standards of care for this condition. He has particular expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques for prostate enlargement, including newer approaches designed to preserve sexual function. He is also one of a small number of surgeons in the UK able to perform minimally invasive tibial nerve and sacral nerve stimulation for bladder dysfunction. In addition, he has specialist oncological interests, particularly in the management of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, and offers blue-light cystoscopy to improve diagnosis and treatment, as well as outpatient laser therapies for bladder tumours.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Malde maintains a strong academic profile with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. He is a regular invited speaker at international conferences and remains actively involved in medical education as both a tutor and examiner on accredited national surgical courses. He is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the European Association of Urology, the International Continence Society, and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
