Mr Jonathon Olsburgh is a Consultant Urologist specialising in kidney transplant surgery and the urological management of patients with renal failure. He holds consultant posts with HCA Healthcare at London Bridge Hospital and The Wellington Hospital and also works within the NHS at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. His clinical practice includes assessment and treatment of urinary symptoms, recurrent urinary tract infections, and cancers of the prostate, kidney, and bladder. He also has a specialist interest in the care of individuals with diabetes or kidney disease and provides comprehensive urological consultations using a range of surgical approaches, including keyhole procedures for kidney and bladder conditions.
Mr Olsburgh graduated in medicine from the University of Leeds in 1993 and was later awarded a PhD in 2005. He completed postgraduate training in both Leeds and London, gaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1997, followed by the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Urology (FRCS Urol) in 2005. He has extensive experience in kidney transplant surgery and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, alongside dialysis access surgery and the urology of renal failure.
His areas of specialist practice include kidney transplantation, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, dialysis and dialysis access surgery, bipolar TURP (prostatectomy), general urology, urinary tract infections, prostate disease including prostate cancer, renal disease and dialysis-related care, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer.
