Miss Elfy Chevretton BSc., FRCS, MS is a well-known consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust where she was first appointed as a Head and Neck Surgeon. She currently sees patients with voice disorders and Vocal Cord Pathology as well as patients with Snoring Disorders and general ENT conditions. Miss Chevretton also sees private patients at the London Bridge Hospital, providing a first-class service at a time convenient to her patients. Her special interest is in vocal cord issues and voice disorders and is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to care and treatment to patients.
Miss Chevretton qualified from St Georges Hospital London in 1978 having obtained an intercalated Honours BSc in Pharmacology at Kings College London in 1974. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and completed a Master of Surgery Degree in 1989. She has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals as well as a large number of abstracts and chapters in major ENT texts. Due to her strong academic background and interest in medical education, she was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Clinical Advisor at Guys and St Thomas School of Medicine. She continues to assist in the training of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and is an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.
