Mr Elvey is a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery for both adults and children. He completed his medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2007, graduating with MBBS and a BSc (Hons) in Medical Law. He subsequently undertook specialty training on the University College London programme before completing advanced subspecialist fellowships in Hand and Wrist Surgery at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
In 2018, Mr Elvey undertook a travelling observership at the Institut de la Main in Paris, France. He was awarded the Gold Medal in 2019 for achieving the highest performance in the British Postgraduate Hand Diploma examination. He holds an NHS Consultant post at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he is involved in both clinical practice and supervision of surgical trainees.
Mr Elvey treats the full spectrum of hand and wrist conditions in paediatric and adult patients. He maintains an active academic profile, publishing regularly in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to major surgical textbooks, and presenting his work at national and international scientific meetings. He has received multiple research awards and serves as a reviewer for leading hand and wrist journals. He also retains a professional interest in medical law.
