Dr. Timothy Poate is a Consultant in Oral Medicine, specializing in the management of facial pain, temporomandibular joint disorder, and Burning Mouth Syndrome. He completed his dental training at Guy's in 1990 and medical training at St Bartholomew's in 1996, followed by specialist training in Oral Medicine at Guy's. Dr. Poate has extensive experience in the full range of Oral Medicine, including ulceration, lichen planus, oral mucosal lesions, lumps and bumps in the mouth, disorders of the tongue, pre-malignant conditions, white patches, red patches, dry mouth, taste disorders, orofacial granulomatosis, and oral manifestations of systemic disease and drugs. His areas of expertise include oral surgery, treatment for sore or burning mouth and tongue, temporomandibular jaw joint pain and clicking, facial pain, ulcers, lumps and bumps in the mouth, and orofacial granulomatosis.
