Mr Paul Jairaj is an Internationally trained Orthopaedic Surgeon currently based at London Bridge Hospital, HCA at the Shard, 31 Old Broad Street in the City, the Docklands, and Chelsea.
His areas of specialty are Hip Arthroscopy; Knee Arthroscopy; Knee Replacement; Hip replacement; Patient-Specific Customised/3D planned joint replacements, Meniscus Repair and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction.
Mr Jairaj qualified in Medicine with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees at Birmingham University in 1991. He has a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 1996 and Fellowship of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, 2002. Paul’s surgical training was on the prestigious Imperial College Scheme obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Eng) qualification.
In addition, Mr Jairaj is one of UK’s first surgeons to pioneer the use of 3D planned patient specific prostheses for Hip and Knee replacements which are customised to the individual. He is also interested in research and offers courses to GPs.
His personal interests include tennis, skiing and golf.
