Aleix Rovira

Mr Aleix Rovira is a Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, where he leads a highly specialised tertiary referral practice focused on head and neck cancer surgery. He plays an integral role within the Trust’s multidisciplinary head and neck, thyroid, and non-melanoma skin cancer teams, and is a core member of the internationally recognised transoral robotic surgery (TORS) programme.

Mr Rovira has extensive expertise in the assessment and surgical management of the full spectrum of head and neck malignancies, offering advanced, evidence-based care for patients with complex disease. He obtained his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and completed comprehensive ENT and head and neck surgical training at Bellvitge University Hospital, one of Spain’s leading academic centres.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Rovira is actively engaged in academic research. He has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals and contributed to specialist textbook chapters in his field. He also completed a PhD examining the outcomes of salvage surgery following anti-EGFR treatment in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. In addition, he serves as an expert peer reviewer for several leading international head and neck surgery journals.
