Professor Timothy Illidge is a renowned expert in targeted therapy and oncology. He graduated with a degree in Biochemistry (BSc) from London University and completed his medical training (MB BS) at Guy's Medical School, London. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Southampton and completed a Cancer Research UK (CRUK) fellowship. Professor Illidge has held positions as a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Oncology and completed a fellowship at Stanford University as part of the lymphoma team. He moved his CRUK research group to the Manchester Institute in 2004. Internationally recognized for his lymphoma research, Professor Illidge has been the principal investigator for many clinical trials and is a member of the NCRI lymphoma group's central steering group. He leads a CRUK and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research funded translational research group, focusing on new treatment approaches for lymphoma. Professor Illidge frequently speaks at international workshops and serves as a medical expert for the Lymphoma Association and CRUK. His clinical expertise includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy for bladder cancer, Hodgkin lymphoma, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
