Professor Andrew Wardley is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and expert in breast cancer treatment and research.

After graduating from The University of Manchester in 1989, he completed his general medical training in 1993, and specialist Medical Oncology training, including an MSc and research doctorate in 2000. In 2001 he took up the post of Consultant Medical Oncologist for breast cancer at The Christie.

Professor Wardley is known internationally for his research into breast cancer which is widely published. His focus is on identifying resistance pathways in advanced breast cancer and introducing new treatments.
