Mr Barry is a general surgeon who trained in Australia and completed further training and fellowships in UK, USA & France. His specialist areas of interest include early diagnosis of breast cancer, neoadjuvant and peri-operative trials, sentinel node biopsy, nipple-sparing mastectomy for risk reduction, immediate breast reconstruction, Local pedicled perforator flaps (e.g. LICAP, LTAP, MICAP, TDAP) and complex and recurrent axillary (lymph gland) surgery.

He had a surgical oncology practice in Australia, with an interest in breast oncoplastic techniques and reconstructive options following cancer surgery as well as preventative surgeries for high-risk women. Mr Barry works at The Wellington Hospital.
