Mr. Amulya Saxena is an award-winning Consultant Paediatric Surgeon. His specialist areas include paediatric minimal access surgery for the thorax and abdomen, as well as general neonatal and adolescent surgery. His expertise covers tumour surgery, paediatric trauma management, gastroesophageal reflux surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy and bronchoscopy, chest wall deformities, and laparoscopic surgical procedures such as inguinal hernia repair, appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, congenital malformation surgery, vascular access surgery, and adolescent morbid obesity management. After training in Germany, he was a Research Fellow in Surgery at Boston's Children Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He also served as Associate Professor and Deputy Director in the Department of Paediatric and Adolescent Surgery at the Medical University of Graz, Austria, where he also headed the Experimental Foetal Surgery and Tissue Engineering Unit. He is Chairman and Executive Board Member of several European and International Paediatric Surgical Societies.
