Dr. Eugene Ong is a consultant dermatologist who completed his medical degree at the University of Oxford in 2011, along with an MA in Medical Sciences in 2008. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians. After qualifying, Dr. Ong completed his core medical training in Oxford and conducted academic research on skin cancer and inflammatory skin conditions. He specialized in dermatology at Chelsea and Westminster and University College London, gaining experience in complex dermatology, skin surgery, and specialist regional male genital dermatology clinics. Dr. Ong completed a senior clinical fellowship in dermatopathology at the St John's Institute of Dermatology and was elected as the British Society of Dermatopathology Trainee Representative. In 2019, he became certified by the ICDP-UEMS in dermatopathology and completed his Diploma in Dermatopathology in 2022. Dr. Ong has expertise in general dermatology and skin surgery, with special interests in psoriasis, moles, skin cancer, acne, eczema, and male genital skin. He is a member of the editorial advisory board for the Clinical and Experimental Dermatology (CED) Journal and has published over 20 journal articles. Dr. Ong has won numerous awards for his work and has appeared in the media on BBC News and BBC Radio.
