Dr. Rapti Mediwake is a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician. She treats all rheumatology conditions such as inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, osteoarthritis, soft tissue rheumatology, and post-menopausal joint problems. She has also undergone specialist training in pain management. She qualified from Southampton University in 1993 and then trained in general medicine and rheumatology at Middlesex, Royal London, and Royal Free Hospitals, with additional research at the Brompton into sarcoidosis and rheumatological-related lung conditions. Dr. Mediwake is actively involved in junior doctor postgraduate education and is currently the Consultant Staff Committee Chair and the Foundation Training Programme Director. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a Member of the British Society of Rheumatology. Her areas of expertise include joint injection, rheumatology, soft tissue injection, arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory arthritis.
