Dr Marie-Helene Marion is a medical graduate from the University of Paris, trained in Neurology and clinical Neuro-pharmacology in Paris and London.

She pioneered the use of Botulinum toxin in Neurology in 1986 and in particular developed the indications for jaw, tongue and laryngeal dystonia.

She moved back to the UK in 1999 to work for 12 years as a consultant neurologist, running a movement disorder unit at St George's Hospital in London and as as a senior lecturer as St George's medical school. She is now the director of the London BTX centre and the chair of the British Neurotoxin Network, which gathers neurologist in the UK, running Botulinum toxin clinics.

She works in an ENT-neurology NHS clinic with Ms Hicklin at St George's for laryngeal disorders. She is a medical adviser for the Dystonia society UK and blogs for patients with dystonia. She has written numerous articles and is still very active in giving lectures and participating in workshops on the uses of Botulinum toxin in Neurology.
