Led by London's leading NHS trauma doctors, the orthopaedic trauma rehabilitation service is specifically designed for those who have suffered major orthopaedic trauma, such as injuries caused by road traffic accidents, extreme sports, or major falls and require surgical treatment and/or specialist rehabilitation.




The Orthopaedic Trauma Rehabilitation programme offers care to patients who have:
- Complex fractures involving one or both lower limbs
- Complex fractures involving the pelvic ring
- Major fractures of the spine without spinal cord injury
- Major single or multiple limb amputations of any cause
- A combination of pelvic and lower limb fractures
- A combination of upper and lower limb fractures
- A combination of above injuries
Rapid access to leading trauma surgeons
London Bridge Hospital supports pre-approved medevac transfers from abroad. The programme also provides surgical and rehabilitation care for patients repatriated following accidents or from countries where this level of care is not currently available.
