Dr. Yin Wu is an Honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist and a clinician scientist. He specializes in immunotherapy and the treatment of melanoma and also practices privately. Dr. Wu read preclinical medicine at the University of Cambridge where he continues to teach undergraduate medical and veterinary students as a Bye-Fellow in pathology. He completed his clinical studies at University College London on the MBPhD programme. His PhD focused on the role of unconventional T cells in human health and disease, and he has pursued this research throughout his post-doctoral training. After completing his medical studies, he trained in general internal medicine and medical oncology at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals and University College as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer. He was appointed as an Honorary Consultant in 2021. Dr. Wu currently chairs the Skin Cancer Clinical Trials committee. In addition to clinical work, he is active in basic laboratory research where his work is focused on defining the role of tissue-resident T cells in fighting cancer with a view to improving cancer immunotherapy for patients.
