Mr Thomas Hester is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with many years of experience in the treatment and management of foot and ankle conditions, such as ankle fractures, ligament injuries, ankle fractures, cartilage damage, heel pain and sports injuries.
Mr Hester earned his primary medical qualification at the University of London, after which he achieved his Masters at the University of Brighton. He then undertook his orthopaedic training on the South East London Training and was awarded a British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society fellowship, where he gained knowledge and experience in complex foot and ankle trauma. He undertook fellowships in Toronto, Calgary and Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. Upon completion of his training, Mr Hester was appointed Consultant at Kings College Hospital and has since been actively involved in the medical education of undergraduate medical students.
In addition to his busy practice, Mr Hester also is active in the field of research in his specialty. He has written articles published in numerous medical journals as well as creating an app 'Surgical Instruments' together with an online training module. Mr Hester was also part of the Broken Earth Medical Mission surgical team in Guatemala - a non-profit group offering medical assistance internationally.
