Professor James Hull is clinical lead for the chronic cough and unexplained breathlessness services at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. He has a specialist interest in helping address any breathing issues limiting physical activity.
Professor James Hull completed his undergraduate training in Exercise physiology and then Medicine from St George's Hospital Medical School in 2000. He then completed his specialist training in General and Respiratory Medicine in London and in 2010, completed his PhD in Physiology.
Between 2011-12 Professor James Hull was a National Institute for Health Research Clinical Lecturer and spent time at UCLA, Los Angeles.
He has worked as a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Royal Brompton Hospital since 2012.
Professor James Hull's expertise includes chronic debilitating cough, persistent throat symptoms, unexplained shortness of breath, reasons for breathing problems during exercise.
He has also has specialist expertise in helping athletes with respiratory symptoms and is currently working with the International Olympic Committee and the English Institute of Sport, as a respiratory expert.
