Mr Parthi Srinivasan is a Consultant Surgeon specialising in Liver Transplantation and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery at King’s College Hospital, London. He has extensive expertise in complex liver, biliary and pancreatic conditions and has performed well over 1,000 liver transplants and major HPB procedures.
Mr Srinivasan graduated from Madras Medical College, University of Madras, in 1989. He subsequently trained in General Surgery in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. In 1993, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He completed Higher Surgical Training as a Calman Registrar in North London and was appointed Senior Clinical Fellow in Liver Transplantation and HPB Surgery at King’s College Hospital. After passing the Inter-Collegiate exit examination, he was awarded the Inter-Collegiate Fellowship (FRCS – General Surgery) by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003.
In 2006, he was appointed Consultant Surgeon in Liver Transplantation, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at King’s College Hospital, one of the leading transplant centres in the UK.
His main clinical interests include liver transplantation, including living donor transplantation, surgery for malignant diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas, and advanced laparoscopic techniques for HPB conditions. He is also actively involved in clinical research, particularly in islet cell transplantation, and has contributed to the development of a successful islet transplantation programme at King’s.
