Mr Michael Oddy is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Associate Professor in the University College London Division of Surgery. He has a specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery, trauma, foot and ankle sports injuries and diabetic / neurological foot and ankle problems.
Mr Oddy read Medical and Natural Sciences at Christ's College, University of Cambridge qualifying from the clinical school in 1996. Following basic surgical training, he completed a Master’s degree at UCL graduating with Distinction in 2002. He undertook orthopaedic specialist registrar training on the Percivall Pott St Bartholomew’s Hospital rotation, completing foot and ankle posts in Norwich and Stanmore before completing a fellowship in Sheffield.
His practice covers all areas of foot and ankle surgery including, fractures, ligament injuries, arthritis and foot deformities. He is the UCLH orthopaedic lead for diabetic foot services. He is actively involved in research and training doctors and UCL medical students acting as the Bloomsbury (UCLH) campus site lead for trauma and orthopaedic undergraduate teaching.
He was one of six specialist foot and ankle surgeons covering the London 2012 Olympics.
