Mr Maneesh Ghei is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Whittington Hospital, Archway, London, where he is the Urology Department's Lead Cancer Clinician and the multidisciplinary meeting Chair. His key specialist areas of interest include minimally invasive urology, complex endourology and stones.
Mr Ghei obtained his primary medical qualification in 1993 at Maharishi Dayanand University in India, where he remained for his general surgery residency, granting him extensive experience in all aspects of surgery. He then embarked on medical training at the University of London, UK, where gained his Doctor of Medicine degree. Mr Ghei successfully completed specialist training in urology in South Wales, where he accomplished a fellowship in the Treatment of Urological Stone Disease and Laparoscopy. He also passed his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Urol).
Mr Ghei is also passionate and actively involved in research and education. He is globally renowned for a research trial which he led that was centred on treating overactive bladders. He also trains and works with a PhD student investigating targeted and focal therapies, as well as cryotherapy in prostate cancer.
A big supporter and fundraiser for prostate cancer, Mr Ghei partakes in the Movember campaign each year.
