Dr. Kalpesh (Kal) Parmar, an expert in sports and exercise medicine, primarily operates out of Elite Sports Professional Services, located in the Moorgate area of London, where he specialises in musculoskeletal injury and illness.
After graduating from Birmingham University in 1995, Dr. Parmar completed basic surgical training in London and Birmingham under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Subsequently, he pursued advanced specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Australia, spending five years honing his skills in Canberra and Sydney.
In 2006, Dr. Parmar returned to the UK to assume the role of Club Doctor and Head of Medical Services for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in the English Premier League, where he served for two years. Following this, he transitioned to become the Club Doctor, Lead Sports Physician, and Clinical Governance Advisor at Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club, where he remained for an impressive 13 years until 2022.
With a wealth of experience in treating sports-related injuries and illnesses since 2001, Dr. Parmar has worked across various levels of sports, from grassroots to National Teams. His experience includes serving as a Team Doctor for numerous prestigious teams and events, such as the Australian Men's and Women's senior hockey teams, the Australian Cricket Team, The Wallabies, The Brumbies Rugby Union, and many more.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Parmar is actively involved in teaching and consulting in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He has held teaching roles at UCL and the Centre for Ultrasound Studies in Bournemouth. Dr. Parmar's dedication to advancing his field is evident through his completion of Masters degrees in Sports Medicine and Medical Ultrasound. He is also a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine UK and serves as an appraiser for the Faculty.
