Dr. Kevin O’Gallagher is a Consultant Cardiologist, recognised for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of heart artery disease. Graduating with honours from the University of Oxford and Imperial College London, he holds a BA in Medical Sciences and an MBBS with Distinction in Clinical Practice. Following his academic achievements, Dr. O’Gallagher pursued specialised training in interventional cardiology in London, resulting in the award of a PhD from King’s College London in 2021.
Dr. O’Gallagher’s practice focuses on coronary intervention, where he demonstrates exceptional skill in procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement. His expertise extends to the prevention of cardiovascular disease, particularly in individuals who have experienced a cardiac event. Utilising cutting-edge treatments, Dr. O’Gallagher strives to mitigate the risk of future heart attacks and strokes for his patients.
Notably, Dr. O’Gallagher leads the coronary microvascular dysfunction service at King’s College Hospital, addressing the needs of patients with angina but no obstructive coronary disease (ANOCA/INOCA) through specialised diagnosis and treatment.
As a respected member of the medical community, Dr. O’Gallagher maintains active involvement in professional organisations such as the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS), the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS), and the Medical Defence Union (MDU).
