Dr Loosemore is an experience Lead Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health. He has experience treating the general public with musculoskeletal and sports injuries and is also working to promote exercise as a preventative intervention and treatment in many medical conditions.
He has experience treating athletes from a wide range of sports and is currently the doctor to the British Boxing and British Snowsports teams. He has travelled with national squads to Olympic and Commonwealth Games - he was also the Chief Medical Officer for the England Commonwealth Games team in New Delhi 2010 continuing the role in 2014 in Glasgow.
He has gained research experience in various sport and exercise medicine research and has published various works int he field, he is also interested in the education of future SEM doctors and is the Head of Speciality for sports and exercise medicine training in London.
He has been awarded an honorary doctorate in science for 'outstanding contribution to sport and exercise medicine' and in 2014 received the Sir Robert Atkins award for 'an outstanding contribution to sports medicine'
