About
Mr Edward Westcott is a Consultant General Surgeon, with sub-specialties in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and colorectal cancer. His NHS base was Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and currently, he sees patients privately, including at The London Digestive Centre.
Mr Westcott was appointed a consultant in 2012 and his main areas of practice are colorectal cancer, IBD, hidradenitis supurativa of the groin and perineum, proctology including fistula and hernia surgery. He performs both laparoscopic and open surgery.
He studied at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School and undertook surgical training at five of London’s main teaching hospitals. He attained an MD based on his research into the pathogenesis of Crohn’s Disease at St Mark’s Hospital.
