Dr Daniel Creamer is the senior consultant dermatologist at King’s College Hospital. He studied medicine at St Andrews and Cambridge Universities, qualifying in 1989. He trained in dermatology at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London and was appointed a consultant in 1999. He conducted research into psoriasis at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology and the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford and was awarded his MD in 2003. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and edited several textbooks, including Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology.
Dr Creamer has expertise in general dermatological disorders including eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, urticaria, allergic dermatoses and infectious skin diseases. He performs skin surveillance for moles, benign lesions and skin cancer. He undertakes minor operations. At King’s College Hospital Dr Creamer runs a specialist clinic for the connective tissue diseases, managing patients with morphoea, lupus erythematosus, and dermatomyositis. He also has a specialist interest in drug-induced skin disease, especially the severe cutaneous adverse reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis.
