Dr Anne Armstrong is a Consultant Oncologist working with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and HCA Healthcare in London. She holds the role of Head of Medical Oncology and is Lead for the Systemic Treatment of Breast Cancer across South East London.
She initially completed a degree in Psychology before returning to university to study Medicine at Imperial College London. Dr Armstrong undertook specialist training in medical oncology at leading centres including the Royal Marsden Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. She later completed doctoral research into the molecular genetics of breast and pancreatic cancer and was awarded a PhD. She was appointed to her first Consultant post in 2005.
Dr Armstrong remains actively involved in clinical research and serves as Chief Investigator on multiple breast cancer trials. Her clinical practice focuses on systemic cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and endocrine therapy, with specialist expertise in breast cancer management.
She holds the qualifications BSc, MBBS, FRCP, and PhD.
