Dr Bhashkar Mukherjee is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine based at Guy's and St Thomas' and the Royal Brompton Hospitals. He has experience managing all aspects of respiratory medicine. His specialist interests include the investigation and management of complex breathing disorders which often involve both respiratory and cardiovascular systems. His work also regularly encompasses managing Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease, chronic cough and bronchitis, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pleural Diseases and Sleep Ventilation Medicine.

Dr Mukherjee has expertise with respiratory diagnostic procedures including pulmonary function testing, FeNO, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), Fibre-optic Bronchoscopy and sleep studies. He has extensive experience in managing patients with both common and serious medical and respiratory conditions.

Dr Mukherjee completed medical studies at Cambridge University as part of the prestigious MB/PhD programme. He completed higher specialist medical and respiratory training at leading London centres for thoracic medicine including Royal Brompton Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital.
