About
Dr Shaishav S. Dhage, qualified from Pune University, Maharashtra, India and continued his higher training, completing post-graduation in general internal medicine with Diplomate of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India.
He completed Royal College Sponsored Fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes at University Hospital South Manchester, UK in 2013. He has rotated through various hospitals in the Northwest region of England, completing his training as Specialist Registrar in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine.
He has completed his research degree at University of Manchester under supervision of Prof. Handrean Soran and Prof. Rayaz A Malik. During this period, he contributed to various multinational, multi-centre, industry sponsored cardiovascular risk prevention drug trials. He has published abstracts and done poster presentations at various national and international conferences.
He successfully defended the thesis titled “The Utility of Corneal Confocal Microscopy in the Detection and Follow-up of Small Fibre Neuropathy in Diabetes and Sexual Dysfunction”, to achieve his MD in Medicine with University Of Manchester, UK.
Since 2019, he is working as a Consultant Oncoendocrinologist and acute oncologist at Christie Hospital in Manchester. He leads the services of Thyroid eye disease and congenital adrenal hyperplasia at the endocrine unit, Christie Hospital, Manchester, UK. He also has special interest in reproductive endocrinology, andrology, immunotherapy related endocrinopathies and adrenal disorders. He is also involved as a principal and sub-investigator for various clinical trials in endocrinology at Christie Hospital, Manchester.
Dr. Shaishav S Dhage also serves on the steering committees of – clinical affairs core committee (CACC) and Clinical Endocrinology Update (CEU) Committee for American Society of Endocrinology. He delivers webinars on a regular basis for the monthly webinar series for American Society of Endocrinology.
