Mr Shafi Wardak is a Consultant Urologist with broad expertise in general and specialist urology, particularly in male fertility, prosthetic surgery, and genital reconstruction. He completed his medical degree at University College London in 2009 and also holds a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of London as well as Master’s in Surgical Technology from Imperial College London. Alongside this he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Wardak underwent higher surgical training at several leading London hospitals, including The Royal London, Guy’s & St Thomas’, and University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He later completed a senior fellowship at UCLH’s Institute of Andrology, focusing on male infertility, surgical sperm retrieval, and penile prosthetic surgery. He continues to work closely with gynaecology teams and leads a dedicated male fertility clinic.

His surgical expertise includes penile implant procedures (malleable and inflatable), corrective surgery for Peyronie’s disease, and the management of male hypogonadism. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Wardak is active in academic research, publishing in high-impact journals and presenting internationally. He is also involved in healthcare leadership as the Clinical Governance Lead, promoting safe and high-quality care. He is a member of BAUS, the EAU, and the AUA.
