Dr. Robin Chung is a friendly and approachable consultant cardiologist with broad experience in general cardiology and a sub-specialty expertise in cardiac imaging, including CT coronary angiography and advanced echocardiography. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in cardio-oncology, specialising in the heart-related issues faced by cancer patients.

Dr. Chung's academic background includes studying computer engineering and medicine at Berkeley, Warwick, Cambridge, and University College London. He completed his general medical training in the London Northwest Thames deanery, where he was an acclaimed academic foundation programme trainee. He then went on to become one of only two NIHR cardiology academic clinical fellows in London in his cohort year.

He received specialised training in transthoracic echocardiography under the guidance of the renowned Dr. Derek G. Gibson at the Royal Brompton Hospital and in advanced echocardiography at Barts Heart Centre. Dr. Chung completed his clinical cardiology training in the London North Central Thames deanery, with placements at the Royal Free, University College London, Barts, and the Royal London hospitals. His NHS base was at the Whittington Hospital, with honorary consultant roles at Barts Heart Centre and University College London Hospitals.

Dr. Chung played a key role in establishing the cardio-oncology services at University College London and Barts Heart Centre—one of the largest in the UK—and continues to lead this network service for cancer patients in the Whittington Hospital area. He offers private consultations for cardiology patients in West London and Harley Street.

A British Heart Foundation (BHF) ambassador, Dr. Chung is passionate about medical education. He has significant experience in clinical trials, particularly in the design, recruitment, and regulatory aspects of cardio-oncology and rare orphan disease studies. As research chair for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK, he oversees six international multi-centre randomised clinical trials. With nearly 50 research publications, including 29 co-authored journal papers, he is a former associate editor at *Open Heart*. Dr. Chung was also the first UK engineer to work for Shazam, the music recognition app. He is available for consultations on clinical trials expertise and corporate/VC due diligence.
