Dr Mathurdas has extensive experience in adult general internal medicine, which enables her to initiate treatment for a wide range of acute medical issues. She approaches patient assessment holistically, taking into account the complexity of human disease and any underlying medical conditions.
Her primary focus is diagnosing and treating medical disorders that present acutely in hospital emergency departments and acute medical units. She also provides advice and care for patients admitted under other specialties who develop medical problems. She manages both inpatients and outpatients with co-morbidities, including elderly patients with frailty.
Currently, she works as a Consultant Acute Physician at University College London Hospitals, leading the care of acutely unwell patients. In this role, she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
Her responsibilities include assessing and diagnosing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and communicating with other healthcare professionals involved in their care.
