About
Mr Nish Mehta is a consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon with expertise in hearing, ear and balance conditions in both paediatric and adult patients. He has received specialized training in cochlear implant and complex ear surgery during his fellowship. His NHS practice is based at the Royal National ENT Hospital which is part of the University College London Hospitals (UCLH) Trust, which is the only ENT specialized hospital in Europe.
After graduating with a double distinction from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School, he underwent advanced surgical training at several prestigious hospitals in London, including Great Ormond Street, St Bartholomew's, the Royal National ENT, and Imperial Trust hospitals. Mr Mehta has also completed further training in the USA, the Netherlands, and India. In addition, he was selected for the Graham Fraser Memorial Fellowship in Sydney, Australia, which is a highly esteemed program that trains UK hearing implant surgeons.
Aside from his clinical practice, Mr Mehta is an Associate Professor of deafness and hearing health at the Ear Institute within UCL. There, he leads research initiatives and supervises postgraduate students pursuing a master's or PhD on enhancing detection and treatment for hearing abnormalities. Mr Mehta has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is also an author of three medical textbooks.
