Ms Lucy Hicklin is an experienced consultant in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery at St George's Hospital in South West London. She sees patients privately at the Outpatient and Diagnostic Centre on Sydney Street in Chelsea, and has a btx injection clinic at The Chelsea Outpatients centre in the King's Road. Other clinics are at BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital and Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon. Ms Hicklin qualified from the University of London in 1988 and became a consultant surgeon in ENT in 2003.
Ms Hicklin sees adults and children with a wide range of general ENT problems including ear infections, deafness, blocked nose, sore throats and sinus problems. Her specialist interests are in the treatment of voice disorders particularly patients with Spasmodic Dysphonia. She is one of the few practitioners in the UK to treat a newly described condition R-CPD, this is where patients are unable to burp and they experience a number of unpleasant symptoms. She also sees patients with swallowing difficulties, breathing difficulties related to the larynx and provides treatment for snoring. She teaches in the UK and Europe on voice and swallowing problems.
Ms Hicklin also has research interests in spasmodic dysphonia; neck dystonia; R-CPD; snoring and facial pain.
