Mr Tariq Miskry is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician based at St Mary’s Hospital in London, specialising in minimal access surgery for endometriosis, fibroids and heavy periods. He qualified from the University of London in 1990 and completed his specialist training in London before spending three years at the Royal Free Hospital as a Fellow in laparoscopic surgery and research.
He subsequently undertook a visiting fellowship in Sydney, gaining further experience in keyhole surgery and the management of fertility problems. He was appointed Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Mary’s Hospital in 2003 and is currently Clinical Lead for Benign Gynaecology, as well as Lead Surgeon for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy at the Endometriosis Surgical Centre at Imperial.
He is actively involved in clinical research and regularly publishes in peer-reviewed journals, in addition to training undergraduate and postgraduate doctors in minimal access surgery and presenting at national and international meetings. His clinical practice includes antenatal education, caesarean delivery, childbirth, coil insertion, early pregnancy care, fibroid removal, obstetric ultrasonography, well woman checks, and the management of endometriosis, fibroids, miscarriage, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and pregnancy.
