About

Mr Tamer El-Husseiny is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising general urology and sub-specialising the prevention, diagnosis and management of kidney stones and benign prostatic disorders. Based at Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary's Hospital, he is highly reputed for his expertise in endourological surgery (minimally invasive surgery). His surgical repertoire includes procedures such as ureteroscopy and laser stone fragmentation, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), Urolift, Rezum, as well as the management of upper tract urothelial cancers. After graduating with honours from medical school, Mr El-Husseiny embarked upon primary surgical and urological training and took up a role as an assistant lecturer in urology. He then went on to higher specialist training, completing urology training schemes in both London and West Midlands. Furthering his research and training, he undertook a two-year subspecialty endourology fellowship based at St Bartholomew's Hospital, which was awarded to him by the Endourological Society. His fellowship specialised in the management of complex stone disease.
