Mr. Surajit Mitra is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 15 years of experience. He completed his specialist registrar training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the London Deanery at King's College with a National Training Number (NTN). During his training, Mr. Mitra worked with several eminent gynaecologists in hospitals such as Addenbrooke's in Cambridge, Liverpool Women's, and King's College. He furthered his expertise by completing training modules in minimal access surgery, urogynaecology, and gynaecological scanning accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Mr. Mitra is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is actively involved in teaching and training courses for national and international candidates of the Membership at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). He has organized courses for training doctors, senior trainees, and consultants. Mr. Mitra holds several professional memberships, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy, British Society of Urogynaecology, European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and International Urogynaecology Association. He is an accredited colposcopist and colposcopy trainer, accredited by the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Mr. Mitra regularly publishes in peer-reviewed journals and presents his work at national and international events. He has received several prizes for his work during his medical career, including the "Malcolm Black Travelling Fellowship" from the RCOG. His expertise includes general gynaecology, emergency gynaecology, minimal access surgery, early diagnosis of gynaecological cancer, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, menopause, and colposcopy.
