Mr Seni Subair is a Consultant Obstetrician practising at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), The Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Centre for Women. He also serves as Maternity Services Lead Obstetrician at The Portland Hospital, reflecting his senior leadership role within maternity care.
He qualified with an MB BS from the University of Ibadan in 1998 before completing postgraduate obstetrics and gynaecology training in London. Throughout his career, Mr Subair has combined clinical excellence with a strong commitment to medical leadership and governance. His previous roles at UCLH include Labour Ward Lead Obstetrician, Obstetrics Risk Lead and Maternity Guidelines Lead. He now works as part of the hospital’s high-risk pregnancy multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with midwives, haematologists and cardiologists to provide coordinated, specialist care.
Mr Subair cares for women with both low- and high-risk pregnancies, with expertise spanning antenatal care, labour management and complex obstetric cases. He runs a specialist clinic for women who have previously had a caesarean section and is committed to supporting informed maternal choice, including water birth and planned caesarean delivery following appropriate counselling. He also has a particular interest in psychological disorders in pregnancy and regularly delivers emergency maternity training to doctors and midwives.
