Mr. Rafid Al-Mahfoudh is an appointed Consultant Neurosurgeon and Complex Spine Surgeon. He has dual Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical accreditation in Spinal surgery, along with world-renowned specialist fellowship training in anterior skull base and minimally invasive neurosurgery in Adelaide and New York (Weill Cornell Medical College). He has a wealth of experience in treating all spinal disorders and endoscopic neurosurgical techniques. Mr. Al-Mahfoudh has a specialist interest in degenerative spine disorders, spine tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, pituitary adenomas, and brain tumors. He undertook basic surgical training in Mersey Deanery followed by specialist Neurosurgery training at the Walton Centre. Mr. Al-Mahfoudh is an invited lecturer by industry and international surgical societies, with over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is in the process of completing his MSc from Oxford University and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Neurosurgery, Global Spine Journal, and Operative Neurosurgery. He is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Surgery and a member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons, Society of British Neurological Surgeons, and European Association of Neurological Surgeons.
