Mr Nizar Asadi qualified in medicine in 2006 from the University of Bologna in Italy. Asadi then completed his training in thoracic surgery in Italy and in the UK.
Asadi has held positions at Great Ormond Street Hospital and in Asadi was appointed as a consultant thoracic surgeon at The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Trust in 2017.
Asadi performs Adult and paediatric thoracic surgery, Minimally invasive video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) lung resection, Chest wall surgery, Tracheal surgery, Pectus deformities surgery and his special interests include Locally advanced lung and chest wall tumours, Benign and malignant pleural disease, Airway stenting and cryotherapy and Minimally invasive mediastinal tumour resection.
Asadi is a member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons, European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery, Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery and the Association of medical practitioners, surgeons and dentists of the District of Bologna.
