Mr Naren Basu is one of the Leading Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons at the Harborne Hospital. He is a former Clinical Lead of Breast Services at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, and Solihull Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Cancer Genomics at The University of Birmingham specialising in breast care, breast cancer surgery, and breast-related issues, Mr. Basu applies oncoplastic surgery skills to preserve aesthetic outcomes while effectively treating diseases.
The National Oncoplastic Fellowship was awarded to him in 2013, and he earned a doctorate of medicine from the University of Manchester for his research on contralateral breast cancer in women. Mr. Basu has numerous publications in the field of risk-reducing surgery in high-risk patients. Additionally, he trains plastic and breast surgeons globally and holds the position of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham.
