Mr Myles Smith is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and General Surgeon currently based at the private practices Lister Hospital, Chelsea Output Centre, and Chiswick Medical Centre. His current post is the Royal Marsden Hospital, Fulham Road. He has a special interest in surgery for soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma, in particular retroperitoneal, pelvic and intra-abdominal sarcomas as well as anorectal and visceral melanoma.
Mr Smith qualified in Medicine at National University of Ireland 1998 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He the trained as a General Surgeon with a specialist interest in colorectal surgery. He went on to complete his PhD with the University College Cork and underwent additional specialist training in General Surgical Oncology, as a fellow at the University of Toronto.
In addition, Mr Smith is board certified in surgical oncology and in 2014 received the top score in the UEMS European Board of Surgery Qualification Surgical Oncology Exams (EBSQ). He is also interested in research, has professional publications and offers courses to GPs.
