Mr Mohiemen Anwar is a respected Consultant ENT Specialist qualified to see both adult and paediatric patients. He has a broad knowledge of all aspects of ENT diseases and conditions, with a special interest in nasal conditions, allergies, sinusitis, nose re-shaping, nasal trauma and reconstruction, and endoscopic sinus surgery.
Mr Anwar received training in various London Hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal Marsden, The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear, Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.
His latter years of training focused on developing his skills in the field of rhinology, facial-plastics and anterior skull base surgery. Since his appointment into his current NHS post, he has introduced new technologies and new procedures to the department, including balloon sinoplasty and endoscopic ear surgery. He is also working on developing a bone anchored hearing aid services at the Trust and a joint voice clinic.
Mr Anwar is passionate about medical education and organises the Bart's ENT training courses. Since 2007, he has organised 11 FESS & Rhinoplasty courses, 11 Head and Neck dissection courses and 2 Temporal bone dissection courses. He has helped set-up Bart's Introduction to ENT course, aimed at junior trainees interested in joining a career in ENT.
Mr Anwar has also spent time in Syrian and Palestinian Refugee camps in Jordan where he was part of a charity mission to assess and rehabilitate children with hearing disabilities.
